The Civil Services Exam consists of three levels for the Indian Administrative Service (IAS), the Indian, and interview-selecting officers.
Foreign Service (IFS) and Police Service of India (IPS).
The commission had announced that they would fill at least 796 vacancies through the Civil Services Exam 2020. A review of Civil Services was scheduled for May 31. This was delayed following the COVID-19 pandemic in India.
The UPSC board voted to suspend the exams on May 4 after the second nationwide lockout period. The UPSC Civil Services (Prelims) will now be held on October 4, in line with the new timetable.
The Civil Services (Mains) exams will take place on 8 January 2021. The Indian Forest Service (Prelims) will be held together with the UPSC Civil Service Exam, and will be conducted in Mains on February 28, 2021.
A joint review for both NDA & NA Exam(I) and NDA & NA Exam(II), 2020, will be held on 6 September 2020. Also, the UPSC Personality Tests for Civil Service Exam(Main), 2019 for the remaining applicants, will be resumed from 20 July 2020. The applicants are to be told individually by the Commission.
