He said TCS Mega recruiting has employed more than 20,000 U.S. workers over the past five years, making it one of the largest IT services and consulting job creators.

Lakkad said all of these initiatives have reduced TCS Mega hiring's use of work visas to "a small fraction of what it used to be five years ago, significantly de-risking our business."

In FY2020 we hired more than 2.5 times our usual fresher intake, and also made the training more contextual, speeding up their ability to play productive, customer-facing roles.

In 2019-20, America accounted for 52.2% of TCS' Rs 1.56.949 crore revenues, while Europe accounted for 30.6% of revenues. India and 'other' geographies contributed 5.7 percent and 11.5 percent respectively to the fiscal revenue.
